About Us

We Believe

The Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God.

This congregation believes and confesses that the Holy Scriptures, the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments, are the inerrant and infallible Word of God, revealed for our salvation, and are the only sources and  rule of faith and life in the congregation.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

The Ancient Creeds align with the truths in the Bible.

This congregation accepts the Apostles, the Nicene and the Athanasian Creeds, together with the Unaltered Augsburg Confession and Luther's Small Catechism as true expressions of Christian faith and life, to which all teaching and preaching in the congregation shall conform.

Therefore, we believe that the Holy Sacraments, Baptism and the Lord's Supper, in union with the Word of God, are means of grace.

The Bible speaks to all of the social issues of our day.

"It is the only inerrant and completely adequate source and norm of Christian doctrine and live."  (1962 Declaration of Faith)

     Therefore we believe:

        - All human life is a sacred gift from God and to be treated as such.

        - God ordained marriage to be exclusively between a man and a woman.

        - The gender we were born with is a precious, unchangeable gift from God.

Jesus Christ is the only way to Salvation.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”  Acts 4:12

True Christian unity is based on faith in Jesus Christ and obedience to His Word.

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.  Ephesians 4:3-6

Christians are called to be salt and light in the world.

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:13-16

Simple and orderly worship is fully centered on God's Word.

Our worship is simple and consists of singing hymns, the reading of scripture, a sermon and prayer. It is our desire that anyone, irregardless of age, race, or gender feels welcome and loved with the love of Christ!

Each local congregation should be free and living, subject only to the Word and Spirit of God, and is called to work in love and unity with like minded churches to accomplish what they cannot do alone.

Therefore, this congregation affiliates with the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations, and endorses its Fundamental Principles and Rules for Work, which affirms that the local congregation governs its own affairs, subject to the Word and Spirit of God alone.
